At just the right moment David let the stone go. Amazingly, the stone hit Goliath in the forehead.
toward the army to meet the Philistine. A stone was already
in his sling going around and around over David’s head, and
at just the right moment he let it go. The stone hit
Goliath in the forehead with a whack. In the next instant, the giant came
toppling down, and David wasted no time in running
forward to kill Goliath with the man’s own huge sword.
By now all was confusion on both sides of the ravine. The Israelite soldiers couldn’t
believe the outcome of the battle, and neither could the
Philistines as they realized that their champion was dead. Suddenly the Philistine soldiers
ran for their lives as they rushed back up over the hills toward their
 cities in the west.
David, the shepherd boy, had achieved a great victory for his people and his God!
And it happened because he trusted in the Lord of hosts!
Without faith in God and trusting Him to solve this “giant” problem, David would
have never defeated Goliath. When you have problems in your life, even if they are problems as big as a giant, remember David. He prayed, and in faith tackled his giant problem, and the problem came tumbling down. So can yours.
