Philip loved Jesus so much that he was willing to go anywhere to spread the gospel. It wasn’t safe in Jerusalem anymore because Saul of Tarsus was persecuting the Christians there. So Philip left, just like many of the other
Christians who were fleeing to cities far and wide. He would have to go somewhere else to preach the gospel story.
One place Philip went was Samaria. Everyone there loved him because of all the wonderful things he did. Besides telling everyone that Jesus was the Messiah, he performed many miracles of healing. He cast demons out of sick people. He healed the lame and those who were paralyzed. There was great joy in Samaria because of Philip.

the road he must have prayed, “Show me the next person to whom I need to tell the story of salvation.”
As he was walking along the road, he saw a very important-looking man sitting in a chariot reading from a scroll. The voice of God spoke to Philip, telling him to catch up with the chariot and walk along beside it. That was just the kind of
invitation Philip needed, and off he went.
When he caught up with the chariot, he noticed that the man was reading a Hebrew scroll of the Scriptures.
“I see you are reading from the book of Isaiah,” Philip said. “Do you understand what you are reading?”
